Stem cell therapy is used in many different facets of medicine. Over the last 5 years there has been an amazing breakthrough with the utilization of platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) injections directly to the scalp for hair restoration in treatment of male and female pattern baldness. The procedure requires drawing approximately 30ml of your own blood and processed to retrieve the PRP for direct injection to the hair loss areas. Multiple injections are performed over the entire treatment area. Treatments are divided once a month for four months and then an addition 2-4 treatments every six months depending on hair growth and goals. There is no downtime or recovery involved.
