Eyelid lift procedures, also known as blepharoplasty, can be performed on either your upper or your lower eyelids for your upper eyelids this usually encompasses an incision that's just hidden in your upper lash line. Order to get rid of excess skin. That's between your brow and your upper eyelid. Over time, you may realize your eye getting tired and heavy by your eyelids having to lift that excess skin on your upper eyelids.
So this is also a reconstructive procedure in order to be able to to help contour your upper eyelid, opening up your eyes and help getting that excess skin off your upper eyelids to make everyday blinking easier. Your lower eyelid lift is usually a little bit more complicated than your upper, which can be performed here at the center under local anesthesia.
The lower eyelid lift involves releasing the ligaments that cause what's called a tear trough deformity to your lower eyelids or lower eye bags that concur over time with aging. And we re drape the ligament over your orbital bone and the front surface of your maxilla to really blend your lid and your cheek junction, or to make a nice, smooth transition.
Love to see you here for a consultation to go over what eyelid rejuvenation procedure is best for you.

Blepharoplasty is an important aspect of facial rejuvenation and entails reversing the effects of aging in the upper and/or lower eyelids. Restoration of the aesthetics of the eye-region of the face is achieved by eliminating excess skin from the eyelid(s), smoothing the underlying eye muscles, tightening the supporting structures, and resecting and/or re-draping the excess fat, in order to produce a smooth transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek. In some cases, blepharoplasty is indicated to resolve sight issues impeding your field of vision. Your decision for this or any facial cosmetic surgery is an individual one and the plan will be discussed during your consultations with me. This procedure can be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures.
