Rhinoplasty
Introduction to Nose Surgery
Rhinoplasty refers to the surgical alteration of the nose for aesthetic and/or functional reasons. Our New Jersey plastic surgeon, Jordan P. Farkas, MD, was trained by internationally acclaimed rhinoplasty surgeons in both primary rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty, and he possesses advanced expertise in the treatment of nasal obstruction from a variety of causes, including a deviated nasal septum, turbinate hypertrophy, chronic sinusitis, or collapse of the nasal valve due to previous rhinoplasty surgery. He uses the most effective and advanced techniques in order to help his patients achieve beautifully refined noses that look natural and breathe with ease.
What Is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a “nose job,” is a surgical procedure aimed at reshaping or resizing the nose to enhance facial harmony and improve nasal function. It can address aesthetic issues like a hump on the nose bridge, a drooping or upturned nasal tip, and nostril size. It can also be performed to correct breathing problems caused by a deviated septum or other nasal deformities.
Revision rhinoplasty is a secondary procedure designed to correct or improve the results of a previous rhinoplasty, addressing issues such as asymmetry, breathing difficulties, or dissatisfaction with the initial outcome.
